Set Finger Print Lock to Whatsapp: The best messaging app Whatsapp rolled out a new feature, that is Fingerprint lock to the app. Till now this feature was only available for iOS users, now this version is available for the Android Beta version also. But by default this feature was disabled, we have to enable to by going to Whatsapp settings.
Set Fingerprint Lock to Whatsapp
- To enable this go to you Whatsapp settings.
- Click on Account
- Now go to Privacy settings.
- Here you can see Fingerprint Unlock.
- If you did not find this, update your app.
With this new feature, your messages will be more secure. Not only this they added one more option “Show content in notification”, this option is to show or hide message when the Fingerprint lock is enabled.
Before bringing out this feature Whatsapp called this as Authentication. After that, it named as Screenlock. Right now this feature was available in the latest beta version 2.19.221 of Whatsapp. If your Whatsapp version is not 2.19.221, then check for updates on the Play Store. If your app is not this version then reinstall the app. But be sure before installing the app backup your chat.
Once you update to the new version, you will new feature in the privacy section inside the account in Whatsapp settings. After enabling this feature no once can open your Whatsapp. It will open when the fingerprint matches. If someone tries to read your messages he wants to unlock your Whatsapp, they will not be able to read your WhatsApp chat with this new feature.
